Smooth Air

Smooth Air ran a strong second in the Met Mile, one of racing's premier races. In fact, he ran so well that the horse has been switched to the barn of Chad Brown and will now be stabled at Belmont Park and probably at Saratoga during that meeting. The owners wanted to run the horse more in the Northeast and this will cut down on the travel. This has probably been in the works since Smooth Air developed colic after being shipped to Texas for a race. Bennie Stutts did a great job with this horse and his loss is our gain. This bodes well for New York breeding as Smooth Air's sire, Smooth Jazz, stands at Amy Boll's Buckridge Farm in Kinderhook. We personally have two Smooth Jazz weanlings and are very excited about them.
